How do I pay for my item?
Payment style will vary depending on the seller type and sales method. If an item is being sold through the Rehome website as 'buy it now',  you will be able to buy this online and check out. If your item is pre-owned or ex display, we will manage payment on your behalf. Payment methods also vary, please make an enquiry if the listing is unclear.  Purchase via Rehome supported services Payment is requested by BACS or finance. Are appliances electrically tested eg PAT or FAT tested?
For ex-display appliances we request the Trade Seller confirms if the appliance has been PAT (Portable Appliances Tested) of FAT (Fixed Appliance Tested) , as applicable. This will be confirmed in the `Important Information` section in the sales listing`. For pre-owned appliances we request that the Seller confirms that the appliances being sold are in good working order and any defects are noted, see `Condition` section in sales listing. We assume that appliances have not been PAT/ FAT tested, see 'Important Information' in the Sales Listing. We confirm that Rehome does not test any appliances. For all appliances it is a Purchaser obligation that all appliances purchased are installed and tested by a qualified electrician prior to being switched on.
Can I collect something I have purchased myself?
Products are either Rehome delivery, self collection or Trade Seller's own delivery. This will be made clear in the listing. Kitchen/Bathroom/Bedroom Self Collection All buyers who are self collecting can request the weight and dimensions which we are happy to share. If you choose self-collection, or employing your own courier, we strongly advise that you fully inspect for completeness and condition against the sales listing prior to loading for your onward journey as it is very difficult to rectify any problems once collected. If you choose our in-house collection and delivery service,  this will automatically be done for you. Receiving a quote is easy, just quote your post code through the product enquiry button and we will send this to you.
What can I sell through Rehome?
We specialise in marketing, selling and dismantling of quality fitted home furniture including, but not limited to: complete kitchens, wardrobes, media walls, bathroom sanitary wear etc. As well as conservatories, appliances, fireplaces, garden rooms and single items of quality furniture. How can I recycle my old electrical items?
Rehome is a member of the DTS (Distributor Take-back Scheme) and so if you search for your nearest recycling centre by visiting: www.recycle-more.co.uk you can utilise your local recycling centre.
What is WEEE
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items.
How is Rehome helping recycle your old electrical items with WEEE?
In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible online marketplace, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS). View our certificate here.
Can I view before I buy?
In most cases for pre-owned or ex display items, we can arrange a viewing for you. With an approved used product, this will be at the home of the seller. Likewise, for an ex display item it may be in a showroom or similar. If an item has already been removed and is in storage, viewings are harder to arrange. New (other) products are normally packed and unavailable for viewing.
When buying a kitchen or bathroom through Rehome is dismantle included?
Our buyers do not pay for the professional dismantle cost, as this is included in the listing price if applicable. All sellers are offered our dismantle service and if they have chosen this it will appear in the listing. Please contact us for further information if needed.

Is it a good idea to buy a used kitchen?
Buying a pre-loved or ex display kitchen is a great way to buy a better quality kitchen for less. Research shows that 1 in 4 kitchens are replaced within 4 years of use, giving an excellent opportunity for a purchaser to pay only a fraction of the price when new. Buying pre-owned kitchens opens up a world of opportunity for buyers and also considerably lowers the environmental footprint with the average pre-loved sale saving around 5,000kgs of carbon and 1.9 trees. Its a win win all round.
I want to buy a used or ex display kitchen, but how will I know if it will fit?
Used Kitchens Each Rehome listings provides a full breakdown of unit sizes in addition to the approximate overall dimensions, to help you calculate if the kitchen is the right fit for you. We suggest that you have a layout drawn out to use as a template, or use your current layout by measuring your unit sizes as a guide. If a kitchen you like is too big, this can work well as it gives you a variety of layout options. If the kitchen is slightly too small, there may be a solution by adding other features such as a wine rack or filler piece.  Ex Display Kitchens Ex-display kitchens are normally designed and fitted without the need to accommodate household architecture such as service pillars, arches, windows, etc. This can make them a little easier to work with. A lot of ex display kitchens are current stock (unless stated otherwise) and can be added to. In some cases the showroom may be able to offer a scaled plan of the kitchen or even design advice.

Yes, delivery options are available for all products (unless stated otherwise). For specialist delivery (kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms) we have an in-house,  professional delivery team with the appropriate lifting equipment and specialist vans with the correct height, weight tolerance and racking to transport your purchase safely. The average kitchen can weigh more than 1 tonne, therefore self-collection is not advised. For products that don't require specialist delivery, options will be viewable through the listing.

Seller specific questions
How long will it take to sell through Rehome?
This is a common question and one that's difficult to answer. Put simply, the home improvement market is seasonal and is also dependant on how many other similar items are available, and how popular the style is. Ideally, 6-8 weeks before your removal date is an optimal amount of time for us to guide you through our approval process and actively market your product to find a buyer. However, if you have a shorter or longer timeframe, we can still help.
How do you arrive at a guide and listing price?
With many years of experience, we are able to give you an estimated guide price, based on your photographs, previous sales and information you have given to us regarding age and condition. Once accepted by Rehome, we may conducted a marketing survey or further research. Once completed,  we will then discuss the initial listing price with you, but please note,  it is impossible to give a guaranteed sales price as this is dependant on many factors. In most cases it will be necessary to consider sensible offers*, especially as your dismantle/removal date moves closer. We will never insist that you refuse a lower offer*, if you would prefer the comfort of a quick sale.  *Please see Agency Terms for more information
Will you help me arrange the dismantle of my kitchen, bathroom or bedroom?
Making the right decisions with regards to the dismantle of your kitchen, bedroom or bathroom is important for both you and your buyer. Having just purchased from you , your buyer will need reassurance that the job will be professionally done,  minimising the risk of damage, and you won't want to deal with the hassle if things don't go according to plan. You may even worry about the safety of your home. In booking Rehome to dismantle for you, you will only have to arrange the disconnection of your utilities and we will do the rest. The dismantle of pre-installed items is a specialist skill and this is why it is an integral part of Rehome's process. Our experience shows us that; your buyer will be happier knowing that the cost of removal is already covered and will be professionally undertaken, and you will have comfort knowing that only qualified, fully verified and insured tradesmen are being given access to your home
What if something changes, or goes wrong with the sale of my kitchen?
We are always on hand to help. Our call centre is open 0900hrs - 1730hrs Monday - Friday and 0930hrs to 1300hrs Saturday. Outside of these hours either leave a message or email us. We will come back to you. Please call our Sales Team on 0151 541 9420 or email info@rehome.co.uk
Do I have to pay anything if my product doesn't sell?
If your item fails to sell* through Rehome within the agreed timescales, there is no charge payable.  *Terms may apply
Can I sell through Rehome, even if my item is damaged or older?
There is always the chance that any product submitted to us could be rejected for sale through Rehome. However, quality and condition of a pre-owned product, expecially if it is in your own home,  is subjective. What one person finds acceptable, another may not. Very often it may not be as catastrophic as you think. Our Something To Sell process allows you to submit photographs and basic information for a free,  objective and non committal view of the potential guide value and/or viability to sell through Rehome. If you are considering replacing a quality item from your home, we urge you to give this a go. You may be suprised.
How much can you sell a used kitchen for?
The value of a pre-loved kitchen will depend on many factors. As a rule of thumb the original purchase price, age and amount of use are the first three considerations. However, sometimes a great quality kitchen with minimum use over a number of years can still gain a great sales price. Rehome sell used kitchens with guide values between £2,500 and £40,000, following our quality assurance and condition checks.
